WGGP is delighted
to announce a new award:
The EVELYNE
ACCAD INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH AWARD for
UIUC graduate student candidates
working on issues related to women in North Africa and the Middle
East. The deadline for this new award is February 15, 2009. [Details

WGGP
has an annual competition for graduate student awards with
a deadline in mid-February. We offer a full fellowship through
the Rita and Arnold Goodman Fellowship and smaller research
and
conference grants through the Accad, Yates, Cloud, and Due & Ferber
International Research awards. Click on one of the links

or grant, this year's deadlines, and the application process.
A graduate student enrolled at the University of Illinois
at Urbana-Champaign may apply for one or more of the awards
on the application
form by submitting the required materials.
Only one application form is needed.

WGGP also offers small travel grants for student
presentations at conferences:
Conference
Travel Grant for UIUC Students
In
order to encourage students to make presentations
at academic conferences, WGGP has established the
WGGP Conference Travel Grant. Each academic year,
WGGP will award three $100 travel grants for UIUC
students making conference presentations. To apply,
submit a letter of request to the WGGP Program, including
the name of the conference, location, dates, and
the title of the presentation. Preference will be
given to students enrolled in the GRID
Minor.
Annual deadlines for submissions are October
15 and
February 15.
